Joy Wellboy

In 2009, Joy Adegoke teamed up with producer and arranger Wim Janssens, to become Joy Wellboy. Elemental beats and bass lines form the centre of their energetic sound. Unusual harmonies and compelling melodies cut deep into the core and on top there’s Adegoke’s voice: uplifting, bedazzling, spirited. Sometimes she’s a knife that cuts, somethimes she’s a gun that blasts. But she always speaks from the heart.

Athmospheric Songs like “muddy boots” and “au clair de la lune” , dynamic songs like “within another dimension” and “bill me later” will draw you into Joy Wellboy’s miscellaneous universe. Their video's are an extension to that universe. (Check out "Flush Me" where Adegoke rises out of the clay pool...)
